Keeping Your BC Program Relevant

Speaker: Cheryl LaTouche, Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente is one of the nation’s largest health plans, serving more than 8.9M members. KP launched their nationwide, departmental BC program in 2001 implementing 6,000 plans. A key element of KP’s program design was placing responsibility in the hands of managers to “own” their plan with support from a central BC professional team. Today, nine years later, KP’s BC program thrives, now with over 10,000 plans. Come learn from the presenters what challenges and lessons learned over the past 9 years have allowed KP to keep BC closely aligned with their highly successful emergency management and ITDR programs.
