Meet Lifetime Achievement Award Winner: Thomas Carroll

Thomas Carroll, CBCP, is the winner of the 2013 DRI International Awards of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award.

Carroll is the global director of business continuity practice of CSC.  He has developed and managed the practice for the past 15 years and serves as CSC’s resident subject matter expert in this area and advisor to the CSC executive leadership team.

His responsibilities include the development of sustainability planning, crisis management, and disaster recovery products and services.  Carroll joined CSC from JP Morgan where he was an investment banker specializing in risk.

He has over 30 years of business experience supporting financial services, manufacturing, and defense and government business sectors.  His expertise extends to these sectors through process financial risk management, engineering, security, business continuity, operations, and applications engineering.

Carroll has been a guest speaker at myriad business continuity forums globally, including CSC’s Leading Edge Forum.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama and is a DRI International Certified Business Continuity Professional.

The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to a person who has demonstrated exceptional achievement within business continuity as well as professional excellence over the course of a significant career in the industry. Nominees must demonstrate professional credibility, a substantial public relations profile, and respect within the industry in general. The industry will be given the opportunity to register their vote for the individuals nominated.
