Attend NEDRIX and take DRI’s BCP 501 course! The NEDRIX annual conference will be held October 28 through October 30, 2013, in Newport, RI.  The DRI course, offered at a special discount to NEDRIX attendees, immediately follows the event, and will be held October 31 – November 1.
BCP 501 is a rapid business continuity planning refresher course covering the Professional Practices for Business Continuity Professionals in preparation for the DRI International Qualifying Exam. This two-day course features 16 hours of instruction followed by the Qualifying Exam that will be taken online. Instructors take a fast-paced approach to the Professional Practices with emphasis on BC planning and the knowledge, skills, and procedures needed to effectively implement each step of the planning process. NEDRIX offers an intimate three day conference with more than ten distinguished speakers, experts, and practitioners, presenting wide-ranging educational topics. The NEDRIX event will feature keynote speaker Billy Riggs, M. Div., MRE on “How to Achieve the Impossible.” In this powerful presentation, magician Billy Riggs impresses leaders and managers with the core belief held by all remarkably successful leaders, and shatters the illusions that limit growth.  Additional speakers include Bo Mitchell, Leighton Jones, John Difava, Doreen Nicastro, Ann Baldwin, and Howard Price.  The event also features a simulation exercise facilitated by Dr. Steve Goldman.  During this fast-paced and interactive exercise, you will learn and understand the principles of emergency response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis communications in action.
