Risk managers aren’t impressed with the mitigation levels for six of the top 10 risks that worry CEOs the most, according to the 2014 Risk Management Benchmark Survey.
The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) received a record 850 responses from 21 countries for the 7th edition of the survey. They asked risk managers to name the top 10 risks that “keep CEOs up at night,” and how well they are mitigated.
High on the satisfaction scale: design, safety, and liability of products and services. Medium satisfaction was listed for reputation and brand, planning and strategy execution, and debt/cash flow.
That left these six ranked “low satisfaction”:
- Political: government intervention, legal and regulatory changes
- Compliance with regulation and legislation
- Economic conditions
- Market strategy
- Human resources
