This National Historic Landmark represents the last visual remnants of the Presidio San Antonio de Béjar. It was established in 1722 as the result of a rivalry between Spain and France in the early 1700’s for dominance of the territory.

Tours illustrate Texas’s earliest history under Spanish rule. Restored in the 1930’s, rooms are furnished with Spanish Colonial period pieces, and beautifully landscaped gardens adorn the courtyard.
